RUM PUNCH

and how to make it..

This old recipe comes in many variations and there will be thousands of people, families, regions, and countries claiming they make the best one. Wars have been fought over this! 🙂
The original Rum Punch recipe and name, date back hundreds of years, and as the saying goes, it must contain:
“One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong and four of weak, a dash of bitters and a sprinkle of spice, serve well chilled with plenty of ice”

Recipe

GLASSWARE:

Rocks glass or Highball with plenty of ice

METHOD:

Shake and strain ingredients (except angostura bitters & nutmeg)

INGREDIENTS:

And other things

25 ml Lime Juice
20 ml Sugar Syrup
50 ml Dark Rum
75 ml Water
2-3 Dashes Angostura Bitter
Pinch of Nutmeg

GARNISH:

2-3 dashes of Angostura Bitters and sprinkle some nutmeg on top

TOP TIP:

Want a sweeter version? Substitute the water for juices (pineapple, orange, passionfruit) and sugar for Grenadine syrup
