ST ANTON AM ARLBERG

Great Ski Area And Good Fun…

St Anton doesn’t need much introduction as it’s one of the most famous ski destinations in the world. It’s about a 75-minute drive or train ride west of Innsbruck and very easily accessible for travellers coming from abroad. The village is famous for a very lively après-ski but also has a great mountain for all levels of skier and snowboarders.
The village is fairly small and has a population of about 2500. There’s one main strip going from Galzigbahn towards Nasserein ski lift, where most bars restaurants and hotels are situated.
The Ski Arlberg area is huge and it seems like there are endless options and routes to take, so you definitely won’t be bored. It’s a modern resort as well with some impressive high tech gondolas. The villages of Lech and Zürs are both more upmarket than St Anton. Zürs is small, quieter and more for families meanwhile, Lech is very luxurious with many 5-star resorts, stylish chalets but also nice shops and champagne bars.
Both villages can be easily reached by the free ski buses going in between or you can ski your way back to St Anton as well if you have time and energy.
