St Moritz is famously known for being a place for the mega-rich, celebrities and royals to ski and holiday.
It’s not an easy place to get to unless you fly with a private plane there. St Moritz is located to the south-east of Zurich and it will take you about 3 hours to drive or 3.5 hours by train. The train journey is incredibly beautiful and highly recommended and a highlight in itself though.

With a population of 5500, the town it’s fairly big and there’s plenty of other things to do then skiing. Here you have a swanky casino and there are also many high-end fashion brands having small shops here. Its more of a town and not so much of a ski village but you have many beautiful lakes in and nearby the town as well.
There’s plenty of nice hotels around for both staying or just to enjoy a cocktail.

The skiing is done in the areas either in Corviglia near town or at Corvatch just a 10-15 minute bus ride away. There’s also the smaller less popular Diavolezza/Lagalb area to explore. All areas having skiing at high altitude with beautiful mountain and lake views.
It is an area best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers with mainly red routes.

People here seem to be skiing only between 11 am – 2 pm, so the mountain never gets busy. Especially early mornings the mountain can be enjoyed all for yourself. After ski and nightlife is very low key and quiet. There’s a couple of livelier restaurants which could be quite fun some nights.
